March Madness

We celebrated the opening of our Los Olivos tasting room on Leap Day with super delicious bacon inspired small bites from the Nicholas Brothers Restaurant.  The food, which included bacon wrapped figs, pork sliders, bacon wrapped shrimp, and cupcakes with maple bacon icing was of course a hit. Who doesn’t love lots of bacon?! We were more than pleased to welcome a packed house for the occasion and the proceeds from that night went to support the Los Olivos School Foundation.  Come down to check out the sweet new space and stay for a tasting! You should also pay a visit to our neighbors Byron, Fontes and Phillips, and Coghlan Vineyard and Jewelers while your at it.  Visit our website for directions to the tasting room.

Matt and Dieter just came back from the 3rd Annual Edible School Yard event in New Orleans this past weekend.  Presqu'ile was the official wine of the night again this year and even though the weather was a little stormy it was still a good time! Check out for more information on the Edible Schoolyard program.  Photo credit goes to Maile Lani Photography.

Our next big event is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in Cleveland, OH on April 13th. We are stoked to be the exclusive wine of the evening and to share our wines with hundreds of rock and roll fans!  The line up of inductees is pretty awesome again this year! It ranges from Guns and Roses to The Beastie Boys.  The event is sold out already, but for a full list of this year’s inductees and other viewing options please visit  Be sure to check back with us in a couple weeks for a special rock and roll blog entry!

March was choked full of wonderful wine dinners. The Ballard Inn hosted a super delicious dinner featuring Ernst Storm of Storm Wines and we celebrated St. Patrick's Day at Full of Life Flatbread with Gavin Chanin of Chanin Wine Company.  Check out the menus from the dinners and join us next time!

Here are a few pics of how the construction is going at the winery on Clark Ave! Be sure to stay tuned for more updates on the building progress.
