Wine is not meant to be a trophy or a financial investment. It should be savored with friends and family, accompanied by great food and better conversation. We all have that bottle, or bottles, we've been saving for JUST the perfect moment... which never quite seems to come. Open That Bottle Night was created by Dorothy & John Gaiter of the Wall Street Journal to address this exact predicament. It's about opening that bottle you've been hanging on to- stop waiting for the perfect occasion, forget the perfect drinking window- and making the wine its own celebration.
In anticipation of this year's Open That Bottle Night on 2/29, we are offering a trio of limited library wines that we feel are drinking particularly well so you may host your own Open That Bottle evening at home. The 2012 vintage is one that has really come into its own with age, and all three of these wines are stunning right now.
