THIS WEEK, FRIDAY 12/18: South African Durban Curry + 2019 Presqu'ile Vineyard Rosé
Chef Julie + Winemaker Dieter Cronje share a great love of curry and if you've come to visit Presqu'ile in 2020 you would have likely experienced one of many that adorn our menu. This favorite hails from Dieter's homecountry, a dish made famous by the city of Durban, and is made rich with braised meat (our version is with pork shoulder), pepper, lime, sweet warming spices and coconut milk! And, don't worry, she's not skimping on any accoutrements: Rice and Toasted Coconuts, Sambal (unfortunately we couldn't get our hands on any Mrs. Balls Chutney - if you know, you know), Yogurt Raita, a bouquet of fresh mint, Papadum and Naan! Paired with a bottle of our 2019 Presqu'ile Vineyard Rosé. $65 / serves 2-4
